The Slate bed with casters brings our trademark modern industrial style to any bedroom, large or small. Constructed entirely out mild steel and adorned with decorative rivets all around.
A protective clear coat finish highlights the richness and durability of hot rolled steel. Natural mill scale, welds and grinder marks make each one unique in its own way.
Available in King, Queen or Full size and designed to be used without a box spring. Platform is not included, bunkie boards can be purchased separately from most online retailers or mattress stores.

Hot rolled steel has a very characteristic dark blue-grey mill scale oxide finish that is a result of the manufacturing process at the steel mill. The cooling process at the steel mill allows the metal to oxidize, producing a steel sheet that is blue-gray color towards the edges and dark gray towards the center. Similar to wood grain, marble or granite, each steel sheet is different.
Standard Feet
Most of our cabinets include heavy duty levelers built-in into the feet. We also include self-adhesive felt pads for placing underneath to protect flooring and/or prevent scratches.
Casters Upgrade Options
If casters can be installed they will be a selectable option via a pull down menu. The following options are available for most items. Casters are all heavy-duty with ratings of 700-800lbs each. Casters are also taller than the feet and will raise the cabinet higher off the ground.
Swivel Steel Caster
2-1/2" taller than feet (6-1/2" overall)

2-1/2" taller than feet (6-1/2" overall)
Fixed Steel Caster

This is a made to order item with an estimated turnaround time of 10-12 weeks. Unless stated in the description.
The carrier will bring your order inside your home, place in the room of your choosing, and remove the packaging upon leaving. Assembly - The free allowable time is 20 mins. This is sufficient for easy-to-assemble items like our beds. There is an upcharge every 15 minutes thereafter.

Great Bed
First let me say that Jose was excellent to work with. Always a quick response to any concerns or questions I had and even offered come custom change options. The bed is great! I love the look of the steel and design. Easy to assemble and very sturdy. Although somewhat heavy it comes in several pieces so it was easy to carry. I was able to put the bed together by myself. I am using plywood as a bunky board. I highly recommend Jose and Modern Industrial Furniture if you are going for this look.
I wanted to get an industrial style Bed on casters for my loft and saw on the modernindustrialfurniture website that it was very close to what I was looking for except their beds didn’t come with casters.So I contacted the owner explaining my wishes and he was very open to my ideas and agreed to custom design my bed and to add the new feature with casters . It turned out exactly how I wanted it , great design and quality and the whole process from beginning to when it was delivered was very professional and as promised.
